"Windows into the Brain: Bedside Neuromonitoring ICP and Beyond" offers a concise review of the pathophysiology of increased intracranial pressure (ICP) and provide a comprehensive overview of cerebral monitoring techniques, progressing from the least to the most invasive modalities.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the clinical neurologic assessment findings associated with increased ICP and herniation syndromes to support early intervention.
- Explain the role of cerebral oxygenation monitoring in the management of patients with brain injury.
- Discuss how cerebral monitoring informs and guides the adaptation of nursing care plans for patients with severe brain injury.
