Neurocritical Care is a peer-reviewed scientific publication whose major goal is to disseminate new knowledge on all aspects of acute neurological care. It is directed towards neurosurgeons, neuro-intensivists, neurologists, anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, and critical care nurses treating patients with urgent neurologic disorders. These are conditions that may potentially evolve rapidly and could need immediate medical or surgical intervention. Neurocritical Care provides a comprehensive overview of current developments in intensive care neurology, neurosurgery and neuroanesthesia and includes information about new therapeutic avenues and technological innovations.
Peer Review Mentorship Program
The Neurocritical Care Journal is launching a mentored peer-review program, as an opportunity to get involved with the journal, learn a structured approach to peer review, and work closely with members of the editorial board. The program spans 1-2 years and includes introductory seminars and educational sessions sharing tips and pearls about peer review. Participants will review 15 articles together with dedicated mentors in 1:1 mentoring sessions and group sessions with editorial board members.
Applicants should be junior faculty in neurocritical care who are interested in exploring editorial work and peer review. Please submit a CV and brief (1 page) personal statement describing their interest and experience regarding peer review and editorial work to Sarah Wahlster at wahlster@uw.edu.
Deadline for applications is May 31, 2024.
