We seek accomplished candidates for the position of Neurocritical Care Attending / NCC Research Director in our expanding Neurocritical Care Program. Mid-career and senior neurointensivists and those with extramural funding are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities for Neurocritical Care Research Director:
• Contribute to the research leadership of UCSD's Neurocritical Care Program
• Attend 8-12 flexible weeks on service in UCSD's 2 Neuro-ICUs
The selected candidates will also be responsible for providing high quality training and teaching to NCC fellows, residents, and trainees from multiple departments.
Candidates must have a MD or equivalent, Board certification in Neurocritical Care and a minimum of 3 years of attending experience as a Neurocritical Care Physician.
Candidates must also have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. References may be requested from all finalists.
The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. Salary is negotiated annually and based on number of service weeks performed x $18,828/week on service. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.
