You love what you do, now love where you do it.
We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our growing Community Regional Neuro ICU team! In your role, you will serve as a drug expert and consultant to physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital personnel, primarily responsible for optimizing patient outcomes and participating in direct patient care activities such as Code Stroke Response and providing comprehensive medication management. As a subject matter expert, you will lead formal and informal discussions, including continuing education, topical discussions, and bedside rounds. While you will work primarily with the Neuro ICU, you will also have the opportunity to support the Neurosurgery and Neurology service lines as needed. You will be integral to Stroke Quality Improvement initiatives, precepting students, residents, and advanced practice practitioners, creating/reviewing drug monographs, performing drug utilization reviews, and addressing drug shortages.
As the region's flagship hospital, this USCF academic-affiliated facility is home to the only Level I Trauma Center and comprehensive burn center between Los Angeles and Sacramento, serving as the area's "safety net provider," covering five counties. You will join our amazing team, one of seven neuroscience intensive care units in the United States — and the only one in California — to earn a Beacon Gold Award of Excellence by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).
