We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated critical care trained neurologist to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care to patients with neurological emergencies. Senior or mid-career (Professor/Associate Professor level) applicants are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro-ICU), engage in teaching and mentoring residents and fellows, and contribute to research initiatives. Candidates should be comfortable working in a closed-ICU model in a high volume and high acuity neurocritical care service.
The Neuro-ICU consists of 24 beds and is staffed by a multidisciplinary team including Fellows, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Residents and Medical Students.
As faculty you will participate in clinical and programmatic activities, which support the Medical Center’s mission of quality patient care, research, education and teaching, and community service. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination of Residents, Fellows, and Nurse Practitioners in the Neuro ICU.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for programmatic activities related to the delivery of patient care.
• While on service, round in the unit and manage or co-manage all neurocritically ill patients; ensure appropriate 24/7 coverage in the unit by the Neuro-ICU team.
• Optimize the triaging of patients to and from the Neuro-ICU, utilizing performance improvement processes in ensuring best practices.
• Actively integrate and coordinate Neurocritical Care throughout the Medical Center, including, but not limited to the Department of Imaging, Department of Laboratory and Pathology, Department of Neurology, Department of Neurosurgery, the Emergency Department and other critical care units. Provide coverage as needed for consultations.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team (i.e., consulting physicians, nursing, respiratory therapy, social work, case management, nutrition, Palliative Care, and OT/PT) to render coordinated care.

Qualifications:
• Medical Degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certification in Neurology and Neurocritical Care

Our compensation philosophy
We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown above takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package. Pay Range: $362,000 - $421,000 total cash compensation.
