About the Role:
As a Neurocritical Care APRN/PA at Queen’s Medical Center, you will be at the forefront of managing complex neurological and critical care cases. Our diverse patient population includes individuals with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, subarachnoid hemorrhages, spinal cord injuries, respiratory failure, sepsis, shock, and more. Your role will encompass both direct patient care and critical decision-making in a high-acuity, multidisciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Autonomy in Practice: Work autonomously, utilizing your critical thinking skills and expertise to manage complex neurological and critical care patients.

Procedures: Perform and assist with advanced procedures commonly seen in neurocritical care, honing your skills and expanding your capabilities.

Collaboration: Work closely with a tight-knit, supportive team of physicians, nurses, and specialists, ensuring the best outcomes for your patients.

Patient Care: Manage patients from admission through critical phases of recovery, including post-operative care, neurological assessments, and family communication.
Ideal Candidate:

Experience: Prior ICU experience is highly desired, as is familiarity with neurocritical care, although we will consider strong candidates with a solid critical care background in other settings.

Skills: Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and procedural skills.

Autonomy: Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.

Flexibility: Comfortable with rotating shifts, including the option for a straight night shift schedule (10 shifts every 4 weeks with pay differential).
Shift Options and Schedule:

Rotating Shifts: 12 shifts every 4 weeks (with flexibility in scheduling).

Night Shift Option: 10 shifts every 4 weeks, with additional pay differential for night shifts.

Base salary begins at $157,997.00 to $180,794.00/year with opportunity for value based incentives
